Cerdeira, Lousã

A schist village near Lousã, let as accommodation in houses the owners describe as remodelled in a traditional and sustainable manner. Individual houses are named — among them Casa do Forno, Casa da Escada and Casa da Azeitona — alongside Casa da Aldeia, a hostel sleeping twelve. The owners run artists' residencies, workshops and an Escola de Artes e Ofícios, and say guests' stays support the surrounding forest. No television in any house.
