Central Monchique Hotel

Three nineteenth-century buildings in Caldas de Monchique, the thermal spa village inside the Serra de Monchique Natural Park. Thirty-five rooms, forming part of the Villa Termal das Caldas de Monchique Spa Resort, which covers thirty-nine hectares of footpaths, green areas and streams and takes in four hotels in all. The hotel's own account of the site refers to Roman remains at the springs, around which the village grew.
