Sabugueiro, Arraiolos
A family house on the Herdade do Carvalho estate at Sabugueiro, near Arraiolos, which the owners inherited from their grandfather and which has been in the family for generations. The renovation was carried out under the guidance of the architect Manuel Aires Mateus, and sets out to blur the boundary between the interiors and the countryside around them. Four suites sleep up to eight adults. An associated farm, Herdade no Tempo, supplies produce to the family and its houses.
